Couples
In couple’s counseling, our therapists focus not only on the relationship between two partners, but also on how the couple interacts with their surrounding systems, including family members, colleagues, friends, and more. Using a systemic client-centered approach, we work with each partner in the relationship as well as with the relationship itself. We always seek out the best interests for the couple, whether that means working to keep the couple together or to separate amicably. Our therapists also work with couples at any stage in their relationship, from preparing for marriage, becoming parents, or transitioning into retirement.
Issues we often address:
Communication Issues
Sexual Intimacy Problems
Life Cycle Issues (difficulty with transitions)
Co-parenting Issues
Infidelity
Restoring Trust
Past Trauma
Infertility
Separation and Divorce
Financial Conflicts
Premarital Counseling
NOTE: We are an LGBTQIA+ affirming practice that welcomes sexual, gender, and relationship diversity.
